Thor thought his power and uniqueness came from his hammer. But that’s not true! His power was inside him all along.
There comes a time in every entrepreneur’s life when you lose your hammer.
As entrepreneurs we often look externally for the next big thing that will help us fix our problems or advance our businesses. We’re looking for our hammer.
Stop looking outside of yourself and outside of your business. Focus on you. What is it about you that is special. What is it that you do for your clients that no one else does quite the same way. If you are constantly looking outside yourself then you are missing your true power.
One of the biggest mistakes I see people making is that they have half-baked ideas and they’ve seen moderate success. But they don’t take the time to fully launch their product or make their service the best it can be before moving on to something else. I think this is a mistake. When we do this we lose a lot of our power. Like Thor, we too can conjure one heck of a lightning bolt if we just buckle down and really focus on the tasks at hand.
Don’t be distracted by the newest, shiniest idea. See your current ideas through to completion first.

Really look at yourself and your business and decide what you can focus on improving. Get the existing aspects of your business running as well as possible before you move on to the next thing. That next thing’s not going anywhere, it will be there when you’re really ready.
You have everything within you that you need to succeed.
