If you are tired of your days running you, instead of you running your days, take a listen to this episode and learn how to take charge of your schedule.
Set Daily Themes
This technique was introduced to me by Todd Herman, creator of the 90 day year.
I already plan my days and my weeks, but this technique allows me to plan my days more microscopically and efficiently.
Here’s how it works for me:
- Monday – Marketing and current clients.
- Tuesday – New connections and new clients.
- Wednesday – Admin day!
- Thursday – New connections and new clients.
- Friday – Financial tasks and weekly wrap-ups.
- Saturday – Me day!
- Sunday – Personal day and Sunday Planning
Admin Day is So Important
It’s so important to have one day where you focus on your business. Before I did this, I found I was losing a lot of time during the week. It’s easy to get caught up spending all your time working on your clients businesses, rather than growing your own business.
Plan out new products, services, courses, trainings, etc. Really look at your processes and strategies to make sure you are growing your business. Admin protects my time and ensures I have enough time to tend to all aspects of my business.
To Recap
Every business ebbs and flows. Take a look at your business and work patterns and consider scheduling your days by theme. This helps you protect your time and take care of your business – plus when you only focus on one or two things on those days you can be much more efficient with your time and resources!
As always: Keep it simple, so you can grow.
