Show Notes
“Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part”
Do you struggle to find the time to focus on your business? Do you feel like you’re working for your clients instead of for yourself? Then this week’s podcast episode is for you.
Some Background
I used to work in the medical field. Throughout the day you would have admin hours. This was the time to fill in charts, fill out prescriptions, and just get stuff done.
Applying this idea to my business has been revolutionary.
Admin Days are Awesome
Admin days are devoted to nothing but your business.
I don’t do anything that isn’t directly related to income producing activities or Golden Key Partnership on my admin days. I record podcasts, update lead magnets, update the website, etc. All stuff that impacts the bottom line and is directly related to my business.
Too often we get sucked into working for our clients or working on stuff that doesn’t move us forward, well not any more!
Setting aside a specific day for these tasks allows you to work for yourself, as well as for your clients.
Feeling behind all the time sucks, and you’re never going to love your business if you are always playing catch-up. In just a few hours on an admin day, I can tackle the important stuff and make a lot of progress. Admin days don’t let me hide behind excuses or client work, they force to get things done.
To Recap
Set aside one day each week to focus on productive tasks related to your business. If you can help it, don’t schedule anything else on this day. Tackle the tasks only you can do that directly relate to your business.
Get focused, get ahead, and get shit done
P.S. don’t forget, make things simple, so you can grow!
