Here are a few pro tips for you about hiring virtual team members that will change your business for the better!
When you bring on a new contractor make sure you set them up with an email in your company domain (this is most easily done with Gsuite for many reasons).
This is especially important if they are creating content on your behalf and here’s why:
- Gives you complete control over the security and access to content created
- You cannot transfer ownership of docs across domains so if they created something the ownership stays with them in their own email/drive account, where as if they are under your umbrella, everything stays in your org.
- When you create in Gsuite, it makes collaboration a breeze!
- It takes your professionalism up a level if and when your VAs talk with clients!
We also use 1password.com to create team specific vaults so that they have the login information for only the specific platforms or tools they need!
The other secret to having a great team is find people who have the strengths that you don’t.
Let’s say you are amazing at thinking of new ideas, but not so great at seeing them through. That is fabulous, keep creating, but find someone who can take care of bringing those ideas to life!
